I first of all want to thank Nicole and Brian, close family friends, for taking us with you to California, Universal Studios and to flying.
This Summer, Nicole and Brian invited us to go with them to California for a trip. We went to Universal Studios, which by the way was amazing! I actually like it better than Disneyland, I would definitely go back. We went on quite a few rides, captured some moments with our cameras and made memories. I was so excited to go to Harry Potter Land, I love the movies and plan on reading the books. It was so cool to see all the different shops they had there. I really liked the butter beer, it was delicious. One of my favorite parts was that we got to spend time together and I got to see all the joy in everyone’s eyes. It was truly a fun time at Universal Studios. I want to thank Uncle Michael for all he did for us and spending the day with us.
We also got to fly!! That was all thanks to Jim Churchman and his crew. You can go to facebook and his website to read fully what he is all about.. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheSmileHighClub/ Website: https://www.smilehighclubinc.com/ He helped us all fly like superheros.. His mission is to “make you fly like the superhero you already are, we can create smiles and memories that will last forever.” from his website. He put us on a belly board and made us fly, he also can hook you up in your wheelchair and can make you fly. It was so much fun and really put a smile on my face. For a child or anyone going through treatment this is a way to take your mind off your treatments and put a smile on your face. I think it was really cool because my brother was really hesitant at first but then Jim talked to him and got him to do it in the wheel chair. He was tense at first but he loosened up and enjoyed himself, each time he went faster and faster. I love what he is doing and I thank him for giving us this experience, I truly enjoyed myself. I hope guys go check them out and donate if you can.
We also got to go to the Santa Monica Pier! I have never been and it was so much fun. We rode lots of rides, took some pictures and had some snacks. I had a great time.
I apologize for not posting lately. I have been busy creating an outfit for an amazing fashion competition I got into through school. It is called Junior League.
Only 5 people from my level were chosen to compete based on their initial garments. I am proud to say I am one of the five! The theme of the second half was fairy tales. I picked Aladdin from a hat, which I was super excited about! I have loved the movie Aladdin since I was young. I especially loved princess Jasmine. For my design, I wanted to bring a more fashion forward, trendy look to my design. I took inspiration from the magic carpet and the colors she wore. I ended up designing a sleeveless pleated top with a pleated neckline with a cream and gold patterned wide leg pant. As well as a teal train with a hand sewn/beaded design. An I am extremely happy and proud of the way it turned out.
Tomorrow 03/25 I have my dress rehearsal to practice how things will run and how we will walk down the runway. We will be getting judged tomorrow as well. Our actual show is on April 1st. I am so excited! I have jumped through so many hurdles to get this outfit done. I am so proud of myself. I have never done anything like this in my life and it is such a huge opportunity. I am thankful to be a part of this!

Last night I went to one of my first big outtings in A WHILE! I got free tickets to go to a concert thrown by Fresh Empire that featured DJ So Hype and Miss Mulatto. My sister and I were screaming when the guy told us about the tickets in the first place. I was so excited about it that when I got home, that that night I ordered tickets for my sister, a couple friends, and I to go.
Well it was last night and I had a blast! We danced A LOT, took pictures, listened to Miss Mulatto, and overal enjoyed ourselves! I stood and danced all night long. Mind you this was the longest I have stood for in a while. It didn’t start until 8 and went until 11. As well as danced. I barely danced at my 8th grade dance and was in a wheelchair at Homecoming last year, so I was proud of myself for dancing for that long. I was very proud of myself, my first big outting in a long time. God works in wonderful ways! I thankhim for giving me the strength and energy to get through last night! I also want to thank Fresh Empire for doing this for us teens! Something awesome for us to do instead of being out on the streets all night getting into trouble.

Friday night, I had the privaledge of attending the fabulous Circus Couture! It was my first time attending and it was absolutely amazing and I had a blast!
Circus Couture is a charity in Las Vegas that raises money for pediatric cancer through circus, fashion, and art events. Friday they put on their show “Lucky”. It was an amazing event put on by such amazing people! Having childhood cancer myself, I am so thankful for what they are doing. The show was great and I really enjoyed it. I am truly thankful to the people that put on the show, performed, had any part in it, or donated.
I want to thank Circus Couture for and amazing night and experience! I really enjoyed it and I know all who attended did as well.
